Planning with your Cycle [Monthly Wisdom]

Would you like to experience more calm and more flow in your life, Reader?

If you said yes, you are in perfect company.

We are often taught that the secret to succeed in acting, creativity, or business is to do more and achieve more.

The truth is that it is less about how much (and what) you do and more about how and when you do it.

Our bodies are brilliantly designed to allow creativity to emerge through various stages rather than having to effort our way through 24-7, especially if we are women.

Yet, this knowledge has been practically lost in modern society.

I know I wasn’t brought up being taught to apply a different amount of effort and different approach to my work and my life depending on my cycle.

Even worse, I was encouraged to keep going and try to show up with the same effort when I had my period, even if I was experiencing horrible cramps and bloating.

Learning to work with your cycle rather than against it is some of the most powerful medicine you can receive as a woman.

If you are newer to the Cultivating Empathy Coaching community, you may not have heard me talk about this yet and it is for that reason that I will be focusing the month of August on sharing the stages of your Cycle and how each stage corresponds to your energy, your body, the foods that you eat, and the work that you do.

If you’d like to take a deep dive into exploring this information and use it to plan the next month or season, join me for Planning with your Cycle on Wednesday August 16th at 6:30pm EST / 3:30pm PST.

I’ll be walking you through the 4 stages of your menstrual cycle and a New Moon Intention planning ceremony to help you implement it in the month ahead.

If you’re a writer or would like to write more for your career, business, or personal development, be sure to check out my friend Sofia Wren’s 21 Day Heartfelt Writing Challenge starting on August 9th. We talked more about it on my Instagram Live this past Monday. Watch it now.

Finally, if you are having a hard time trusting the universe and would like to let go of the beliefs, patterns, thoughts and emotions that are holding you back, please join me for the next Full Moon Embodiment Circle on Wednesday August 30 at 8pm EST / 5pm PST.

Have a wonderful month!

Much love,
Natalie

I did too, for years, before I discovered Energy Work. And I would say that I was committed and regular in my practice and that there was a lot about it that I found extremely helpful. Taking the time to be still in the busy world that we are in is in and of itself a powerful and rebellious act. And at the same time, I remember reading about...

Happy Sunday Reader! After moving through a surprising, energizing and challenging Eclipse Season, towards the end of last week I had a huge revelation. The first quarter of 2025 is officially over! It has been a really weird year so far. Starting the year grieving my mom’s passing, having LA be on fire for weeks so soon after my big move cross country, the insanity of the government, plus all of the little machinations of getting settled in a new place after living in the same city for 20+...

I have a question for you, Reader! How often do you take bold action in your life? If you told me that it was rare, I wouldn’t be all that surprised. Yes, even for you actor types. Because even though we think we want change, everything about our design – our nervous system + family and societal conditioning – is actually built for safety and security. Our nervous system is literally laying down tracks every day to make the tasks in our day-to-day life more efficient, so that we can reserve...
