I have a question for you, Reader! How often do you take bold action in your life? If you told me that it was rare, I wouldn’t be all that surprised. Yes, even for you actor types. Because even though we think we want change, everything about our design – our nervous system + family and societal conditioning – is actually built for safety and security. Our nervous system is literally laying down tracks every day to make the tasks in our day-to-day life more efficient, so that we can reserve our brain power for the things that really matter. This works to our advantage for a lot of things, like making sure we brush our teeth every day, but when it comes to creating our dreams, it can become a massive block. As much as we like to believe that our brain is all powerful and that making a decision is enough to make a change, days, months or years of repetition will win out over our desires every time, unless we find an embodied way to release the old patterns and create new ones. (Which as you probably know by now is what my work is all about.) Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been making a real effort to get out and meet new people in my new city. And interestingly, I keep running into former NY-ers. When they ask me how it’s going, I keep saying that while my inbox isn’t flooded with auditions (yet), that I definitely made the right decision. I feel like LA folks are friendlier and more open to have a conversation. Usually as soon as I say that, someone is quick to question me, suggesting that while people may seem that way on the surface that they are simply pretending. (I’ll let you know what I think in a few more months.) Frankly, I’m not sure it matters. The fact that there is an entree to have an actual conversation with a stranger has definitely made me bolder. I never realized how reticent I was in NYC to attempt to join new communities until now. There was always an air of having to prove yourself which stopped me in my tracks. Here, in spite of Hollywood glitz and glamour, I actually don’t feel a need to prove myself. At all. Which means I’m willing to take more risks. While not every risk will pay off, for sure, the one thing I can be sure of is that 0% of the risks I don’t take will pay off. The real truth is that LA isn’t actually what made me bold. There was a certain boldness I had to be willing to embody, just to get myself here. Because I’m in a new place and a new set of circumstances, it is way easier to make changes, at least on the surface. (I’m creating just about everything from scratch and there is a lot of value in that.) But not all of us have the luxury or even the desire to move across the country to change our lives, nor should we. Embodiment Practices are the “shortcut” to our dreams. They will help you change your life from the root level. They allow us to move past the thoughts and beliefs (both conscious and subconscious) that are standing in our way and create change so much faster. I’m currently gearing up for my next round of The Embodied Actor, my one of a kind program that helps actors get more embodied in their life and their acting so that they can get more auditions, callbacks, and bookings and feel better while doing it. There are some big changes coming from the last time I offered this program and I can’t wait to share them with you over the next few months. And if you are ready to do the work now and really blow the lid off this audition season, I have ONE SPOT for a passionate and motivated actor in Accelerated Embodied Actor 1:1. Over the next 3 months, you’ll: If you are ready to achieve all your biggest actor goals this year, just reply with the word ME and we can chat about all the details. Have an amazing and restful weekend, Reader! Much love,

I did too, for years, before I discovered Energy Work. And I would say that I was committed and regular in my practice and that there was a lot about it that I found extremely helpful. Taking the time to be still in the busy world that we are in is in and of itself a powerful and rebellious act. And at the same time, I remember reading about...
Happy Sunday Reader! After moving through a surprising, energizing and challenging Eclipse Season, towards the end of last week I had a huge revelation. The first quarter of 2025 is officially over! It has been a really weird year so far. Starting the year grieving my mom’s passing, having LA be on fire for weeks so soon after my big move cross country, the insanity of the government, plus all of the little machinations of getting settled in a new place after living in the same city for 20+...
Happy Monday, Reader! I’m well aware that this edition isn’t actually being sent on the weekend. Though I am writing this email on Sunday night, it would be way too late for me to send it. For this first time in over 4 years since I’ve started my coaching practice, this is actually the first time I’m breaking that “rule” and for good reason. Since getting home to LA last Monday night post-attending my mom’s funeral, I’ve been feeling pretty stuck. Pretty much every day last week looked...
